Yunho Jung and Bom Park, had you seen them you’d know how perfect they looked. She was small and beautiful with waves styled into her long hair and he was tall and handsome with short dark hair. They looked like a celebrity couple but alas they were regular people just like you and me. They both came from hardworking middleclass families. He was in college earning his degree in business so he could start his own company and she was a kindergarten teacher. You think their lives would be perfect. They loved each other and the sex was great but I guess something was amiss because here they were once again in a fight.

“Why do they have to stay with us?” yelled Yunho.

“Yunho, don’t ask this now, please! Their house just foreclosed and they have nowhere to go.”

“Bom, you have THREE sisters. Every time your parents need something they always come to us. They even ask my parents for money.”

“You know my sisters don’t have room- ”

“And you think WE do! Where are they going to sleep. I doubt your parents want to squeeze on the loveseat or were you planning on giving them the bed too?”

Bom sighed and glared at Yunho.

He didn’t back down. “I mean, our relationship is like this and we’re not even married yet. I’d hate to see it then.”

She was stunned. “Yunh-.” But he had already grabbed his coat and left the small apartment leaving Bom to mull over their argument.

Yunho felt bad. He knew he shouldn’t have spoken to his fiancé like that but enough was enough. Her family was always mooching off of them. Her niece needed at party and somehow he got conned into paying to the entire Wondergirls themed event. Her parents needed some money for a bill and he was conned into paying the entire five hundred dollar payment. He was sick and tired of her family and he was sick and tired of her blind eye. As her fiancé he knew he’d have to deal but this was too much.

Yunho turned the corner of the street he was on and entered a tired looking bar called Week-Day Relief. “You said it,” sighed Yunho was he passed through the door. He instantly waltzed over to the counter and sat at a stool.

The bar tender looked at him and smiled. His deep voice called out. “Yo man, you look thirsty.”

“Hey, Yoochun. Yeah, I’ll take a couple shots of anything strong.”

Yoochun laughed as he handed his friend a couple shots. Yunho quickly downed them as a stranger sat next to him. “Only a man with problems would drink so recklessly.”

Yunho chuckled. “Yeah, well, only someone single would not understand.”

The stranger looked over. “Well, explain.” He had piercing brown eyes and plump pink lips. His pale skin was accentuated by the light colored hair on his head.

Yunho passed a shot to the stranger as he downed on of his own. “Women,” he began, “are trouble. Too much emotion, it clouds their judgment.” Yunho’s speech was getting a little animated due to the alcohol. The stranger listened carefully. “I’m engaged to this beautiful woman.”

“Congrats.”

“Thank you, but her family is so troublesome. Always begging, never offering, that’s how they roll.”

The stranger laughed. “Well, if you love her, it’s worth it.”

“But that’s the thing, I don’t know anymore.” They stayed silent for a minute as Yoochun poured more shots. Yunho chuckled. “I must look pathetic, crying in front of a stranger. I’m sorry…”

“Jaejoong.”

“I’m Yunho." They shook hands and a spark of electricity ran from his hand down his spine. They locked eyes for a second before they looked away from each other. It was awkward. Yunho looked at him watch and noticed it was getting late and Bom would start worrying. “Sorry. I gotta go.”

“Bye,” called Jaejoong.

“Bye,” called Yunho.

Yunho was out the door and around the corner back to his house. He walked up the flights of stairs to his apartment and walked in. He dropped his coat off on the couch and went to his shared bedroom. Bom was sleeping soundly on their bed, leaving enough room for him, but he wasn’t sleeping with her tonight. He changed and grabbed the extra blanket before going in the front and sleeping on the living room loveseat.

Bom wasn’t sleeping at all. She watched with her eyes half open, to make it look like she was, and watched as Yunho changed and went to sleep in the front. She snuggled into the covers and settled into a fitful sleep.
